You may find these documents helpful in supporting your child with Autism. Please note that the advice provided and strategies recommended in these leaflets is general and may not be relevant to or appropriate for your child. We recommend that you discuss the implementation of any new strategies with school staff if you are unsure.

Business cards compiled by Queensmill Occupational Therapy Department that can be carried by parents/carers and handed out to members of the public to inform them of a child's difficulties. Print out onto card and cut out. These are particularly useful if a child is demonstrating challenging behaviours and you don't have time to explain to bystanders who may want to help (or interfere). Cards similar to these can also be provided for your child to carry in their pockets or bag in case they go missing. These should be individualised and include emergency contact details. Please speak with your child’s Occupational Therapist to request.
